Commissioning Engineer (Water Turbines) (m/f)

As a Commissioning Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful installation, testing, and optimization of water turbine systems. Your expertise will be crucial in commissioning and troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and control systems to ensure high-performance water turbine operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct commissioning and testing of water turbine systems, ensuring optimal functionality and efficiency,
  • collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to electrical, mechanical, and control systems,
  • ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols during commissioning activities.
  • generate detailed reports and documentation on commissioning procedures, test results, and equipment performance,
  • provide technical support to clients and project teams during the commissioning and start-up phases of water turbine projects,
  • stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends related to water turbine systems,
  • contribute to the continuous improvement of commissioning processes and procedures.

Expected qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field),
  • proven experience in commissioning and troubleshooting water turbine systems,
  • strong knowledge of water turbine equipment, including turbines, generators, control systems, and associated components,
  • familiarity with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety practices,
  • excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve technical issues effectively,
  • effective communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders,
  • willingness to travel frequently for on-site commissioning projects (mostly EU),
  • fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
